They keep working until you change your DNS, because they resolve on your domain rather than ours. Export your links as a linkset before you go and point the hostname at whatever replaces us. This is deliberate: a code on a pack can outlive a contract by years, and you should never be held hostage by artwork you have already printed.
No, and we do not intend to. A scan costs us a fraction of a penny to serve, so metering it would be a pricing tactic rather than cost recovery. If a product goes viral your bill does not move.
Until a code carrying it has been issued, yes. After that the GTIN locks, because packs may already be printed and changing it would stop them resolving. Downloading a code counts as issuing it; previewing one does not.
Conformant. Codes are GS1 Digital Link URIs with proper application identifiers, resolution honours link types with content negotiation and Link headers, and there is a linkset endpoint per RFC 9264 plus the well-known resolver description.
Not much, on purpose. We record that a scan happened, roughly where, and what it resolved to. We do not store raw IP addresses, and lot or serial numbers are dropped before anything is written to analytics.
Any time, in both directions. If you drop to a plan with a smaller limit, nothing is deleted — you simply cannot add more until you are back under it.
Add a domain when you are ready to print.
